House of Nonie Charity Fashion Show Tonight!
Designer Nina Rahal-Kharey of House of Nonie has selected Toronto as the first Canadian city to preview her newest collection JR2010. On Tuesday, June 29 th at 7PM, House of Nonie is raising funds for the Red Cross as part of this not-to-be-missed charity fashion show hosted at Lobby, 192 Bloor Street West, Toronto. Nina is drawing inspiration from her brother Jassy Rahal, whom she lost to violence. House of Nonie’s newest collection will be aptly named JR2010, in Nina’s brother’s memory. This delightful “Holiday” collection will consist of exquisite dresses made from silk and wool fabrics.
Gemini-award winning actor/singer Alexz Johnson (INSTANT STAR/SMALLVILLE) will host and MC the Toronto Fashion Show. Alexz recently released her debut album Voodoo, and its first single “Trip Around the World”. Attendees will have the opportunity to sample some of the eclectic sounds from Alexz’s album. In addition, to an amazing fashion show full of gorgeous festive dresses in red and black, DJ Alexie will treat audiences to incredible music, followed by an after party. Not only is Nina Rahal-Kharey showcasing her newest collection, she is also hoping to raise awareness and funds to end senseless acts of violence. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the door. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Red Cross.
