Alexz Johnson Island Turns 4
Four years ago today I bought alexz.net and started to add content to the site. This wasn’t the day the site was officially launched(that would coincide with a post Alexz made on her official site) but it is the day I recognize as when the site was truly born. I made this site for the primary reason to be a tool to help Alexz in getting the word out about her and her music.
I’m very blessed and thankful for this website. It has opened doors and opportunities for me that simply never existed before. I’m very thankful to everyone who visits the site, even if it’s just once, to see what is going on. To date this site had over 200,000 visits and has a steady stream of visitors per day that is growing gradually. I’ve met new friends from all over the country, Canada, and beyond because of this site that have made the journey much more than it would have been on my own. I’m blessed to know all of you and hope to see you guys at another Alexz Johnson concert soon.
Alexz’s music changed my life. It was really a turning point where I changed directions in where I was heading to somewhere completely new when I heard her music for the first time. In 2009 the idea of meeting Alexz was a far away pipe dream. How much has changed in such a short time! Meeting Alexz showed me I was doing the right thing, helping the right person, that she is more passionate about her music than I could ever be about this site or her, and to continue helping her in any way I can. If you have not met her yet, don’t worry, I’m sure the time will come. If anyone has the passion, drive, and love for what they do, it’s her and she has no plans of stopping.
So thanks again to everyone who helped make this website a success! 🙂 Thanks to Alexz because it would not exist without her. I hope to see and meet you guys on the road on Alexz’s future tours, maybe even go bowling after the show 😉
