“Look At Those Eyes” Video review by tomtshane

October 7th a day to go down in music history as an incredible accomplishment by Alexz Johnson and all the crew who worked closely on this video to make it happen, It came together beautifully. The “Reloaded” version of  “Look At Those Eyes” was used in the video who we know Demacio “Demo” Castellon produced (He’s brilliant). The video starts with Alexz crossing the streets of  Toronto sporting  her signature hat and flowing white blouse. I am in love with her boots and the overall style in the video! As Alexz is walking down the streets of  Toronto the look of her face is serious but also sad in a way. We start to see flashes of her singing with her band, she is wearing a vintage yellow dress that lights up the dark and deep mood of the video, her hair and make-up done in a classy retro style.

Alexz makes her way to a building and walks in where she takes her hat off placing it on an old audio machine she then opens the lower box to find a can on string, where then she puts the can up to her ear and begins to listen to whats on the other end. The next scene shows a little girl opening a cupboard where she finds a bag of cereal, then she finds a can also with a string attached. The girl places the can to her ear and listens for a second then is seen talking into it. Alexz is then shown singing into the can, were then taken to a scene of two parents arguing and fighting while their son is under the dinning table, just then a can rolls into the shot and the boy picks it up and listens to Alexz singing on the other end.

The video continues to get darker as now we are shown a homeless teenager  in an alley, the girl looks confused and upset, she looks to her left and see’s a can on a string where she starts talking into it, the video flashes to Alexz looking bothered by what she’s hearing on the other end. The two girls and boy start to follow the strings on their cans, they follow the strings through out the city and we see it slowly get darker and darker outside as if they’ve been walking for hours. Once they reach the end they all end up together, the lyrics fit perfect (Your not alone in the dark) We see them smiling at each other at the end of the video. Alexz then grabs her hat and exits the shot.

What I take from the video is we all come from different walks of life, we all have problems we may feel put us alone in the corner. In this video Alexz teaches us that were not alone in the dark, we all are human, we all love we all hurt and we all are one even if we may not feel like that or treated like that. Fighting parents, homeless teens all these things effect us in ways people may not understand or see, This video is a great message to all the world and the people who hurt or are hurting. We all are one, We should not hurt others around us. Love is the biggest message you get from this video and the last thought I’m left with is to help if you see someone hurting, being bullied we must step in and protect each other. Reaching out can be the biggest thing you could ever do in your life.

I hope the world see’s this video and takes a moment to listen to the message within the melody. Thank you for checking my review out! Hope it’s how you all see the video as well 🙂

Thanks!!
